Intrepid Woman!

I am officially an intrepid woman! What is that? Well the literal meaning is that I am fearless and it is true in two ways. Firstly I was brave enough to publish the first chapter in a book with 12 other women. And our book is called Intrepid Women! Why is it brave to publish my story? My story is about the steps I took to leave my abusive marriage, that takes a measure of courage on its own but to talk about it publicly means I have to be fearless.

Why now? Because now is the time to stand up and show other women and men that might find themselves in an abusive relationship that it can be done and that there is light at the end of the very dark, painful tunnel you may be in now. If I can support one person, encourage one person, make one person feel less alone then I am doing my job. This blog is one step in that process. Another is the chapter in my book.
